The Fun Stuff

Okay so here are some pics of Daniel over the last month or so! I know I am a bad Mommy!

Other things goin on in the life of Daniel...

We are having a lot more good rather than bad tummy days! Though he still large spits or small throw up, he seems to be keeping more down. aka a lot more diapers for momma to change!

He loves to stand, well he always has. But the reaction on his face now when he pulls himself up is pure excitement! He gets up on his feet and starts laughing and smiling! Look at my boy getting a big head on him already! Well I guess should be glad something is big on him right, besides his clothes! Boy, that boy is hard to buy for. He is so dang long I have to buy 9 mos clothes and some 12, but his waist is still a 6 month waist. That's why I love summer and all those one piece jumpers! I don't have to worry about pulling his pants up constantly! :)

This week is a dr appt, and well the scale at home has him tippin the scale at about 16lb. and it's normally pretty close with in an ounce or two. So I would be pleased with 16 lb, that would put him at about 1 lb in a month.

So the nurse in me sometimes takes over. By the book they want him to triple weight by 1 year old, well Daniel was 5lb 2oz. So technically he has already tripled his weight plus some, and he is almost 10 mos. So what is the goal weight, all I can see is for him to be on the "growth chart" well he is for him. He has done what my books have asked of him. Though I know he is still small, maybe everyone else's is just big! :) Jk I don't know what I would ever do with a bigger baby! He seems perfect to me in all aspects except the throwing up part! I am ready for that to be over, to say the least! What I can rely on is all his smiles and chuckles!

Okay, so these are after a bitter biscuit! Lesson learned that a bath is required after a bitter biscuit!

And though those teeth are tiny, they sure can bite! So I have to watch once he gets them soft enough to bite! But he loved going to town on those things!

Daniel learning to stand in his crib, quite well on his own. Now every morning I get up he is standing there waiting for me to pick him up, and not quietly I might add. He can really make some noise standing up!

long long week!

Okay so it was a long rough week to say the least...
Starting last Tuesday night, Daniel started a throwing up spree, totaling 8x in 24 hours..
So after a call to doctor and lots of worries, Daniel has gotten better.
We did pedialyte for 24hrs, then formula for 24hrs, and then slowly have started working baby food back into his meals!
But the good news is now we have not had any throwups since Wednesday!!!
So things are getting back on the right track, finally! And his snotty nose seems to be doing so much better.

He has got this laugh that is contagious! We will be driving down the road, and he will just start laughing, and lauging. Next thing you know I am laughing hystarically! He makes everything funny!

And, those teeth are so dang cute, until he puts your finger in his mouth to chew, and then they hurt!

We have a dr appt this week, I am sure there won't be much weight gain but I am still looking forward to seeing his progress!

Big news in the land of Dot!

I am done with nursing school -well until I go onto my RN.

I am officially a graduated vocational nurse!!!

Graduation Jan 30th!

I am so excited, just had to share.

Update

Well it's been a lil too long, but we have big big news!!!!


Daniel's first tooth is breaking gums, you can actually see, and feel it! And I think there are 2!!!
It's about time, he has been craving a hearty steak for a while! :)

Other Daniel news, the early child interventionist child said that he is right on target. Developmentally they put him at 8 mos cause he was a month early, but they said his development is right on for 9 mos!!! Yay!

He has the army crawl down he even does this rowing motion kind of. He uses one arm up and one under him then alternates. It's pretty funny to watch and boy can he move it! He has started following me out of the room where ever I go, it's adorable but I know I am in trouble now!

Other things he loves. He loves doing rasberries for absoutely for no reason. Driving down the street he does them, I wake him up and change diaper and he is doing them. It's quite hilarious! And that boy can blow some pretty big ones!

This weeks recap

Well, Daniel had a weigh in yesterday. It was 14lb 12oz. He had only gained 3 oz in 3 weeks. But it was kind of expected. He had a rough few weeks throwing up every few days... I think a lot of it was from his snotty nose- which most of the time was just clear. But I know drainage upsets my stomach, and so I am hoping that's all that it is. Because He is eating like it's going out of style. But he is doing pretty well.
This week he has been more cranky at night, but I am hoping he is finally cutting those dang teeth. With that said. Daniel is finally down for the night, and do now I will do the same.

Daniel loves bath time, and has learned how to splash! It's so much fun to watch him splash and laugh and get startled when he splashs on himself!
